GIRL BOSS SOCIAL BRUNCH
THE EVENT
Girl Boss Social Brunch - International Women's Day Celebration
Sunday March 8th | 11am to 1pm | Creekside Villa
A Seat at the Table for the Woman Behind the Business.
Whether you’ve been in business for ten years or ten days, you know the truth: being a founder is a wild, beautiful, and sometimes isolating journey. We spend so much time pouring into our clients and our “to-do” lists that we often forget to pour into ourselves and each other.
This International Women’s Day, let’s change the narrative. We’re gathering for a soulful brunch designed to bridge the gap between “colleague” and “friend.” No stuffy blazers, no forced elevator pitches, and absolutely no competition. Just a room full of women who understand the hustle and believe in the power of a rising tide.
Event Highlights:
Opening Speech: Marie-Ève, from What’s Up Canmore, will open the event and talk about the significance of sisterhood and collaboration among women in business, highlighting how supporting one another can foster growth, empowerment, and collective success.
A Moment of Zen: Alyssa, from Bloom to Fruit Alchemy, will follow with a gentle guided meditation to quiet the mental chatter, celebrate our own resilience, and honour the lineage of women who paved the way for us.
Nourishment: Because everything is better over good food, a delicious brunch buffet will be served for everyone’s delight.
Includes: an assortment of savoury and sweet pastries, sandwiches, smoked salmon, fruits and veggies, juices, coffee and tea.
Unstructured Connection: The event will provide a space to talk, laugh, and find potential collaborators who share your heart-centered approach to business.

Host: Marie-Ève from What’s Up Canmore
Marie-Eve has traveled to over 30 countries, living in some for extended periods, enriching her life with diverse cultures and experiences. She holds a degree in business management from Quebec, with a semester spent in Mexico and Peru. Fluent in French, English, and conversational Spanish, she is a passionate dreamer who believes in taking bold steps toward her goals, even when others doubt their possibility. After adopting a street dog in Mexico, she discovered a love for dog training, which led her to start her own business, On Leash, in Kelowna. Through dedication, she quickly scaled her dog walking and training business, managing employees and making tough decisions along the way. Following a car accident, Marie-Eve pursued her long-held dream of becoming a helicopter pilot, earning her commercial license in Canmore, where she now works in the industry. Always eager for new challenges, she recently launched What’s Up Canmore, a platform supporting local businesses and community life, encouraging eco-tourism and authentic experiences. Passionate about fostering connections, she started creating events through Bow Valley Dating and with Alyssa to bring women together, building friendships, alliances, and opportunities for growth both personally and professionally.
